The National Service Scheme (NSS), a central sector initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, was launched in 1969 to commemorate the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi. The program aims to develop the personality of students through active engagement in community service. NSS serves as a voluntary platform for young individuals in educational institutions, fostering a vital connection between campuses and communities. Its core objective is to instill a sense of responsibility and leadership in students through participation in community-centric activities.

The motto of NSS, “NOT ME BUT YOU,” reflects the spirit of democratic living and emphasizes the importance of selfless service. It underscores the idea that individual well-being is intricately tied to the welfare of society as a whole, advocating for a community-first approach to life and service

The NSS unit at Jaspuria B.Ed. College was established in 2024 has set remarkable benchmarks in community engagement and sustainable living. Through initiatives such as ecological awareness drives, Yoga Day celebrations involving students, faculty, and our adopted village, health camps, and campaigns to uplift social standards, the NSS unit has made a meaningful impact on both the student community and society at large. Special programs like sanitary napkin distribution and community development services have further reinforced our commitment to societal well-being.
