IQAC of the JBC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Jaspuria B.Ed. College was established on 17th January 2019 in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru.

About IQAC

The establishment of the IQAC marked a significant milestone in the college’s commitment to achieving and sustaining excellence in academic and administrative functioning. The Cell was formed with the objective of developing a systematic and consistent quality assurance mechanism to enhance teaching–learning processes, promote research and innovation, strengthen student support services, and ensure effective governance.

Composition of IQAC

The IQAC functions under the leadership of the Principal as Chairperson and comprises senior faculty members, administrative staff, students, alumni, and external experts. This ensures broad stakeholder representation as mandated by NAAC. The Cell meets regularly to plan, monitor, and evaluate institutional activities and to recommend measures for continuous quality improvement.

Key Activities of IQAC

  • Promoting learner-centric and ICT-enabled teaching practices
  • Organizing faculty development programmes, seminars, and workshops
  • Strengthening mentoring, counselling, and feedback mechanisms
  • Encouraging research, publications, and extension activities
  • Preparing and submitting the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR)
  • Supporting the institution in accreditation and quality-related processes

Role of IQAC

The IQAC serves as the nodal agency for quality enhancement in the institution. It plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation, contributing to the holistic development of prospective teachers and the overall growth and sustainability of Jaspuria B.Ed. College.
